What does the 4th of July mean to you?

Tomorrow will be the date that we celebrate U.S. Independence as a nation. We have the tremendous opportunity to spend time with friends, family, and our communities to reflect and regain our perspective. The American perspective is not just one view or vantage point, but one with many lenses. We collectively look and evaluate our nations and the principles that make it great. These include individual freedom, self-reliance, equal opportunity, competition, the American Dream, and lastly hard work. These values along with our individual lens shape our perspective of America. Taking that same process of evaluation but placing on our homes, what would be the values and principles that define you? Have you taking the steps to ensure individual financial freedom for your family? Have you developed a plan that will protect your assets? Are you giving your family the best opportunity in the event of a personal disaster such as death or illness? Will your family be able achieve the American Dream? And finally, will you allow all your hard work be undone because you failed to financially protect it? The 4th of July represents the greatest of our values as a country in our life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Abraham Lincoln captures this best. “The strength of a nation lies in the homes of its people.” The 4th is a symbol of America's strength being built brick by brick and home by home.
